It's enjoyable to take in everything in the world, from the different slimes and the unique environments to the games characters and story. As a whole, Slime Rancher is just a fantastic game. If you don't care about the portability, or really want the framerate to be as high and consistent as possible, it would be better to get another version. If you don't mind a poorer framerate or really want the portability, then Slime Rancher will be great for you on the Switch. Yes, there are places where the framerate dips, and it will start to perform poorly when you have tons of different slimes and upgrades on your farm. I'm sure many people would be wondering how the game performs generally, and for the most part it runs pretty well.
The gameplay is simple, but gets addictive quickly, and there are a lot of things waiting to be discovered in the beautifully detailed world. You explore a huge world, gather up cute little slimes, give them food and toys, and harvest and sell these things called "plorts" that the slimes give off when they eat something. It’s relaxing and a must-play on Switch for any wholesome gamers.
